THE EDIT STUDIOS

BESPOKE WEBSITE DESIGN

YES YOU CAN BUILD YOUR OWN WEBSITE.

You can probably find someone cheaper than me too.

The question isn't whether you can build a website.

It's whether it looks like you built it yourself.

I do the strategy, the words, the pictures, the art direction and the website.

You get the serious-business version. Vogue, not the local free newspaper.

WHY?

Because having

the tools

isn't the same as

having taste.

Canva is $12 a month. Yet Vogue still employs an art department.

Of course you can build your own website. You can also cut your own fringe.

The software isn't the valuable part.

Before I design anything, I work out what your business needs the website to actually do. Who we're talking to. What they need to understand. What they need to want. What might make them leave. What deserves the expensive seat at the front, and what can go and sit at the back.

Then I decide the architecture, the hierarchy, the copy, the imagery and how somebody moves through the whole thing.

Because there is a difference between a website that contains all the correct information and one that makes your business feel like the obvious choice.

Then, naturally, I make it look indecently good.

Because looking expensive is cheaper than being ignored.

Designed from scratch.
As God and Vogue intended.

Not every business

needs me.

For businesses with something to lose.

Looking homemade is a choice.

Bespoke is for businesses where the visual world matters.

If people are buying your taste, expertise, environment, point of view, product, experience or you, your website has considerably more work to do than displaying your opening hours.

Fashion. Beauty. Interiors. Hospitality. Wellness. Personal brands. Premium services. Creative businesses. Luxury products. Photographers. Consultants. Founders with something worth looking at.

Businesses where perception affects the price you can charge.

Some businesses should absolutely hire someone else.

I am not the woman for a 14,000-product webshop, a property portal requiring half the Costa del Sol to be imported by XML, or a corporate infrastructure project involving six departments, three databases and a man called Graham from IT.

Nothing personal, Graham.

I design brand-led websites, not Heathrow Terminal 5.

If your project is technically enormous, data-heavy or primarily a software-development exercise, you need a specialist development team.

If your business needs strategy, words, imagery, art direction and a website that makes the entire thing suddenly look considerably more expensive:

Now we're talking.

"I don´t sell websites to people who need websites...

I sell them to people who care what theirs says about them."

THE EVIDENCE

...luxury is the baseline.

Your brand deserves a runway.

Your brand deserves a runway.

...editorial without the entourage.

Less template. More taste.

Right. The expensive bit...

YOUR BUSINESS

PROPERLY DRESSED.

From $3,500

WHAT YOUR $3500

ACTUALLY BUYS.

Besides my excellent opinions.

BESPOKE WEBSITE DESIGN

The full treatment.

Your business, considered from the ground up. Strategy, structure, words, visual direction and web design, created as one thing rather than assembled from several unrelated freelancers and a nervous breakdown.

Included:

01/ Strategy & website architecture

Before anyone starts choosing fonts.

I work out what the website actually needs to do, who it needs to convince and what needs to happen between someone arriving and someone enquiring, booking or buying.

From there, I plan the sitemap, page hierarchy, navigation, content flow and calls to action.

Because “Home, About, Services, Contact” is a menu.

It is not a strategy.

02/ Bespoke design

Designed from scratch. As God and Vogue intended.

No pre-designed layout with your logo delicately placed on top and described as bespoke.

Every page is designed around your business, your content and the way your clients need to move through it.

Typography, hierarchy, spacing, composition, interaction and responsive behaviour are considered as one visual system.

It should look like your brand could only ever have looked this way.

03/ Copywriting

Because “Welcome to our website” has suffered enough.

I write the core website copy as part of the project, using your positioning, offer, audience and tone of voice.

Headlines, page copy, calls to action, hierarchy and messaging are written alongside the design, rather than being poured into empty boxes afterwards.

The objective is fairly simple:

Make them understand it. Make them want it. Make it obvious what to do next.

Preferably without using the words elevate, empower or passionate about providing exceptional service.

04/ Creative direction & imagery

Your website requires a world, not seventeen unrelated JPEGs.

I establish the visual direction for the site, including image style, composition, cropping, art direction and how photography works with typography and layout.

We can work with your existing photography, carefully selected licensed imagery and, where appropriate, a curated selection of custom AI imagery or portraits created specifically for the project.

The point is not to fill spaces with attractive photographs.

The imagery has to belong to the same expensive family.

05/ The build

Eventually, someone does have to make the bloody thing work.

Your approved design is built in Wix and adapted properly for desktop and mobile, with navigation, forms, links, interactions and agreed integrations configured and tested before launch.

Not simply shrunk until it technically fits on an iPhone.

Beautiful on the big screen. Still behaving itself on the small one.

06/ SEO foundations

Google should at least know you exist.

The website launches with the essential on-page SEO foundations in place, including page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, image alt text where appropriate, clean page URLs and core indexing setup.

This is SEO foundation, not an ongoing SEO campaign, backlink strategy or a solemn promise that you'll be number one on Google by Thursday.

07/ Domain & email configuration

The glamorous administrative underbelly.

Where required, I handle the standard technical setup needed to get the new website live: custom domain connection, DNS configuration and domain verification.

If email configuration forms part of the agreed scope, this can also include Google Workspace connection and standard SPF, DKIM and DMARC authentication.

There are limits here, particularly where domains, email accounts or DNS have existing technical problems or require third-party support. Those are covered properly in the project terms.

I design websites. I do not enter blood feuds with GoDaddy.

08/ The handover

I leave. You retain custody.

Once the site is live, you'll have access to the Bespoke client website guide, covering the everyday things you're likely to need to manage yourself.

If your particular website has something unusual that deserves an explanation, I'll also provide a short Loom walkthrough for the relevant parts.

You will not need to book a €200 meeting every time you want to change a photograph.

BUILT IN WIX

I choose the tools. You hire me for what I do with them.

Bespoke websites are built on Wix chosen for its design freedom, functionality and because you shouldn't need

a computer science degree to change a photograph after I've left.

YOUR BUSINESS HAS DONE ENOUGH

WEARING OFF-THE-RACK.

If you're ready for the version that looks like you meant it, we should probably talk.

Tell me what you're building, selling or plotting. I'll tell you if we're a good fit.
