PRIVACY POLICY

Your data. Kept private. Revolutionary, apparently.

Last updated: September 2026

THE PRIVACY BIT

We like beautiful websites. We are considerably less interested in collecting information about you that we don't actually need.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data The Edit Studios may collect when you browse the website, buy something, work with us, join an email list or get in touch, and what happens to that information once we have it.

The short version: we only use your personal data where we have a reason and legal basis to do so. We don't sell it, and we don't treat your inbox like rented real estate.

The longer, legally important version is below.

The Edit Studios processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Spanish data protection legislation.

This policy also explains what rights you have over your personal data and how to use them.

Questions about your data, this Privacy Policy, or something that looks suspiciously like it belongs in a legal department?

hello@theeditstudios.co

WHO'S RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DATA

Someone has to be the grown-up.

For the purposes of data protection law, The Edit Studios is responsible for deciding how and why personal data collected through this website and our business is used.

In GDPR language, this makes us the data controller.

If you have a question about your personal data, want to exercise one of your privacy rights, or simply want to know what information we have about you, you can contact us at:

The Edit Studios
Email: hello@theeditstudios.co

We will handle privacy requests in accordance with applicable data protection law.

WHAT WE COLLECT

Only what we actually need. We're nosy about fonts, not your private life.

The personal information we collect depends on how you interact with The Edit Studios. Browsing the website, buying a template and commissioning a website are, naturally, three very different relationships.

Depending on what you do, we may collect the following:

THE BASICS

Information you give us directly, such as:

  • your name

  • email address

  • telephone number, where relevant

  • billing information

  • business or brand name

  • country or location information where needed for billing, tax or service purposes

PURCHASE & CUSTOMER INFORMATION

When you purchase something from The Edit Studios, we may collect information connected with your order, including:

  • products or services purchased

  • purchase date and transaction information

  • billing details

  • discount or coupon information

  • order and delivery status

  • communications relating to your purchase

  • information needed to provide customer support

We do not need your full card details to admire your excellent purchasing decisions. Payment information is handled through the applicable payment provider, as explained later in this policy.

ENQUIRIES & COMMUNICATIONS

If you contact us, fill in a form or enquire about working together, we may collect the information you choose to provide, including:

  • your name and contact details

  • the contents of your message

  • information about your business, project or enquiry

  • relevant correspondence and follow-up communications

CLIENT & PROJECT INFORMATION

If you work with The Edit Studios on a creative or website project, we may also process information necessary to provide that service.

This could include business information, project briefs, brand materials, website content, photographs, account or platform information, feedback, approvals and other materials you provide as part of the project.

EMAIL & MARKETING INFORMATION

If you subscribe to marketing communications or otherwise choose to receive them, we may collect information such as:

  • your name and email address

  • your subscription preferences

  • information about when you subscribed or unsubscribed

  • engagement information where provided by the email platform we use

How we use this information, and how you can unsubscribe, is explained later in this policy.

WEBSITE & TECHNICAL INFORMATION

When you use our website, certain technical information may be collected automatically by the website or services used to operate it.

Depending on the final website setup, this may include information such as:

  • IP address

  • browser and device information

  • pages visited

  • approximate location derived from technical information

  • referral source

  • website interactions

  • cookie or similar technology information

Exactly what is collected will depend on the technologies actually operating on the website.

Details about cookies and similar technologies will also be provided in our Cookie Policy where required.

SENSITIVE INFORMATION

We do not intentionally ask you to provide sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for a particular service or you choose to provide information relevant to your project.

Please don't send us sensitive personal information that we haven't asked for or don't need.

I particularly like the last sentence because it is useful, rather than pretending clients never randomly overshare in an enquiry form.

HOW WE GET YOUR INFORMATION

No trench coats. No private investigators.

Most of the personal information we use comes directly from you. Some information may also be collected automatically when you use our website or provided through services involved in running our business.

DIRECTLY FROM YOU

We may collect personal information when you:

  • purchase a product or service

  • complete a form or questionnaire

  • subscribe to emails or other communications

  • contact us by email or through the website

  • enquire about or book a creative service

  • become a client

  • provide content, files, feedback or other information for a project

  • otherwise communicate or interact with The Edit Studios

THROUGH OUR WEBSITE

Some technical information may be collected automatically when you visit or interact with our website.

This may happen through cookies and similar technologies or through the platforms and services used to operate the website.

Exactly what is collected depends on the technology actually in use and is explained further in this Privacy Policy and, where applicable, our Cookie Policy.

THROUGH SERVICES WE USE

We may receive information connected with your interaction with services we use to operate The Edit Studios.

For example, this could include information relating to a payment, product purchase, email subscription, form submission, appointment, digital-product delivery or other service you have chosen to use.

We only use information received through these services for the purposes explained in this Privacy Policy.

FROM OTHER SOURCES

Occasionally, we may receive personal information from another legitimate source rather than directly from you.

Where this happens, we will handle that information in accordance with applicable data protection law and, where required, provide you with information about where the data came from.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY DO WITH IT

Mostly the things you asked us to do.

We use personal information to run The Edit Studios, provide the products and services you request, communicate with you and keep the business functioning as it should.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may use your information to:

PROCESS & DELIVER YOUR PURCHASES

We may use your information to:

  • process and manage orders

  • confirm purchases and payments

  • deliver digital products, downloads, templates or course access

  • provide information relating to your purchase

  • manage refunds, cancellations or payment issues where applicable

  • provide customer support

PROVIDE CREATIVE SERVICES

If you work with The Edit Studios, we may use the information and materials you provide to:

  • respond to your enquiry

  • prepare for and manage your project

  • communicate about the work

  • provide website design, customisation, branding, AI creative or other agreed services

  • manage feedback, approvals and revisions

  • deliver the completed work

COMMUNICATE WITH YOU

We may use your contact information to send communications connected with your relationship with The Edit Studios, including:

  • order confirmations

  • delivery and access emails

  • project communications

  • replies to enquiries

  • important service or account information

  • updates relating to something you have purchased or requested

These are different from marketing emails. Buying something from us does not automatically mean we get to send you promotional emails forever.

EMAILS & MARKETING

Where permitted by applicable law, we may use your information to send you news, offers, product launches, studio updates or other marketing communications.

Where consent is required, we will ask for it.

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe option included in the relevant email or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending communications that are necessary to fulfil an order, provide a service or respond to something you have requested.

RUN & IMPROVE THE WEBSITE

Where applicable, we may use website and technical information to:

  • operate and maintain the website

  • understand how the website is being used

  • identify and fix technical problems

  • maintain security and prevent misuse or fraud

  • improve our website, products, services and customer experience

Any use of analytics, advertising technologies or non-essential cookies will be described in this Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy where required.

RUN THE BUSINESS

We may also use personal information where reasonably necessary to:

  • maintain business and transaction records

  • manage accounting and administrative requirements

  • comply with tax, legal or regulatory obligations

  • prevent or investigate fraud, misuse or security issues

  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims

  • protect our legitimate business interests where permitted by law

WE DON'T COLLECT IT JUST BECAUSE WE CAN

We aim to collect and use only the personal information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

If we want to use personal information for a materially different purpose, we will assess whether that use is permitted under applicable data protection law and provide additional information or obtain consent where required.

THE LEGAL REASONS WE CAN USE IT

Because “we felt like it” is not a legal basis.

We only process personal information where we have a valid legal reason to do so.

The legal basis we rely on depends on what information we are using and why.

TO DO WHAT YOU ASKED US TO DO

Sometimes we need to use your personal information because it is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you.

This may include using your information to:

  • process and deliver a purchase

  • provide access to a digital product or course

  • respond to an enquiry before you become a client

  • prepare or provide a creative or website service

  • communicate with you about an order or project

  • provide customer support connected with something you purchased

In other words, if you buy something from us, we need enough information to actually give it to you.

BECAUSE THE LAW REQUIRES IT

Sometimes we need to process or keep information because we have a legal obligation to do so.

This may include information needed for:

  • accounting and financial records

  • tax obligations

  • invoices and transaction records

  • responding to lawful requests from authorities

  • complying with other legal or regulatory requirements that apply to The Edit Studios

We will only use this basis where the processing is actually required by applicable law.

BECAUSE WE HAVE A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS REASON

In some circumstances, we may process personal information where it is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

This may include things such as:

  • operating and improving our business

  • maintaining the security of our website and systems

  • preventing fraud or misuse

  • understanding and resolving technical problems

  • maintaining appropriate business records

  • responding to and managing enquiries

  • establishing, exercising or defending legal claims

We don't get to call something a “legitimate interest” simply because it would be convenient for us. We consider whether the processing is necessary, what you could reasonably expect, and how it may affect your privacy rights.

That distinction matters. GDPR specifically requires legitimate interests to be balanced against the person's interests and fundamental rights and freedoms.

WHEN YOU GIVE US PERMISSION

In some situations, we process personal information based on your consent.

This may apply, for example, where you actively choose to receive certain marketing communications or agree to the use of particular non-essential cookies or technologies.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Withdrawing consent does not make processing that took place before you withdrew it unlawful.

SOMETIMES MORE THAN ONE BASIS MAY APPLY

Different processing activities may rely on different legal bases, even when they involve the same information.

For example, we may need your email address to deliver something you purchased because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, while using that same email address for a separate marketing purpose may require a different legal basis.

We will use the legal basis appropriate to the particular purpose for which your information is being processed.

WHEN WE ACTUALLY NEED YOUR INFORMATION

Some things are optional. Your email address when we're trying to email you a product is not one of them.

You can browse parts of our website without giving us personal information directly.

However, there are situations where we need certain information in order to provide a product or service, complete a transaction, respond to a request or comply with a legal requirement.

WHEN IT'S NEEDED FOR A PURCHASE

If you purchase a product or service, we may need information such as your name, email address, billing information and other details necessary to process and fulfil your order.

If you don't provide information that is necessary to complete the transaction or deliver what you've purchased, we may not be able to process or fulfil your order.

WHEN IT'S NEEDED FOR A SERVICE

If you work with The Edit Studios on a creative or website project, we may need certain information, materials, access or contact details in order to provide the agreed service.

If required information isn't provided, we may be unable to begin or complete the relevant part of the project, and this may affect the project timeline.

Any specific requirements will also be explained in the applicable service agreement or project documentation.

WHEN THE LAW REQUIRES IT

In some circumstances, we may be required by law to collect or retain certain information, for example for accounting, tax, transaction or regulatory purposes.

Where information is legally required, we may be unable to complete a transaction or comply with a request without it.

WHEN IT'S YOUR CHOICE

Not every piece of information we ask for is mandatory.

Where providing information is optional, you can choose whether to provide it. Declining to provide optional information will not prevent you from purchasing or using a product or service unless that information becomes genuinely necessary for the particular feature or request you want to use.

PAYMENTS

We need to know you paid. We do not need your card number framed on the wall.

When you purchase a product or service from The Edit Studios, your payment is processed through the payment provider available at checkout.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

The payment provider may collect and process information necessary to complete your payment, such as your:

  • name

  • billing details

  • payment method

  • payment card or other payment credentials

  • transaction information

The payment provider handles this information in accordance with its own privacy and security practices.

The Edit Studios does not directly store your full payment card details.

We may receive information relating to the transaction, such as:

  • your name and contact information

  • the product or service purchased

  • the amount and currency paid

  • payment status

  • transaction or order reference

  • billing information made available to us

  • information relating to refunds, disputes or failed payments

We use this information to process and manage purchases, maintain appropriate business records, provide customer support and comply with applicable accounting, tax and legal obligations.

PAYMENT PROVIDERS

We use third-party payment providers to process payments securely.

Information may therefore be shared with or processed by the payment provider where necessary to complete the transaction, prevent fraud, manage disputes or refunds, and meet applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

The payment provider's own privacy terms also apply to the information it processes for its own purposes.

EMAILS & MARKETING

Your inbox has been through enough.

We may send you emails for different reasons. Some are necessary because you've bought something, asked us a question or are working with us. Others are marketing.

We treat those differently.

EMAILS YOU ACTUALLY NEED

If you purchase something, enquire about a service or work with The Edit Studios, we may send you emails necessary to manage that relationship.

These may include:

  • order and payment confirmations

  • product delivery or access emails

  • customer support messages

  • project communications

  • appointment or service information

  • important updates relating to something you've purchased

  • information necessary to fulfil our agreement with you

These are service or transactional communications, not marketing emails.

Opting out of marketing will not stop us from sending information genuinely necessary to provide something you have purchased or requested.

MARKETING EMAILS

We may occasionally send emails about things such as:

  • new products or templates

  • studio news

  • launches

  • offers or promotions

  • relevant products or services

  • other news from The Edit Studios that we think may be of interest

We will only send electronic marketing where we have a lawful basis and are permitted to do so under applicable marketing and data protection law.

This may include where you have chosen to receive marketing from us or, where legally permitted, where you are an existing customer and the communication relates to similar products or services.

Buying something does not give us permanent custody of your inbox.

YOU CAN LEAVE WHENEVER YOU LIKE

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided in the email or by contacting:

hello@theeditstudios.co

Unsubscribing is free.

Once you opt out, we will stop using your information for the relevant direct marketing, although we may retain limited information necessary to record and respect your preference.

You may still receive non-marketing communications where they are necessary for an existing purchase, project, account, legal obligation or request.

AUTOMATED EMAIL SEQUENCES

When you purchase or request certain products or resources, you may receive a limited series of automated emails connected with that product or resource.

These emails may include delivery information, instructions, useful resources, follow-up information and, where permitted by applicable law, relevant offers or information about related products or services.

Receiving a limited product or resource sequence does not necessarily mean that you have subscribed to our general marketing list.

Where an email constitutes direct marketing, we will only send it where permitted by applicable law and will provide a simple way to opt out of further marketing communications.

MARKETING PREFERENCES

Where applicable, we may keep a record of your marketing preferences, including whether you subscribed, unsubscribed or otherwise objected to receiving direct marketing.

This helps us make sure we don't enthusiastically invite you back to a party you've already left.

WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH

Very few people need to know your business.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may, however, need to share or make certain personal information available to trusted service providers and other parties where this is necessary to operate The Edit Studios, provide something you have requested, process a transaction or comply with the law.

SERVICE PROVIDERS

We may use third-party companies and platforms to help us operate the business and provide our products and services.

Depending on the services you use and our current setup, these may include providers that help us with:

  • website hosting and operation

  • payment processing

  • email delivery and automation

  • digital product and course delivery

  • forms and customer communications

  • appointment or project management

  • cloud storage and file sharing

  • analytics and website performance

  • accounting and business administration

  • other technical services necessary to operate The Edit Studios

These providers may process personal information only where necessary for the relevant service and subject to their applicable data protection obligations.

PROFESSIONAL ADVISERS

Where necessary, we may share relevant information with professional advisers such as accountants, legal advisers, tax advisers or other professional service providers.

They only receive information reasonably necessary for the purpose for which their services are being used.

LEGAL & REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS

We may disclose personal information where we are legally required to do so, or where reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with a legal obligation

  • respond to a lawful request from a court, regulator or public authority

  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims

  • investigate or prevent fraud or unlawful activity

  • protect our legal rights or the rights of others

BUSINESS CHANGES

If The Edit Studios is ever involved in a genuine business restructuring, sale, transfer or similar transaction, relevant personal information may need to be disclosed to professional advisers or parties involved in that process.

Any such information would remain subject to applicable data protection requirements.

WE DON'T SELL YOUR DATA

We do not sell personal information to third parties.

And we don't hand over customer information to unrelated businesses so they can fill your inbox with things you never asked for.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

The internet has never been particularly respectful of borders.

The Edit Studios is based in the European Union, but some of the service providers and platforms we use may process or store personal information in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

This means that, in some circumstances, your personal information may be transferred internationally.

WHEN INFORMATION LEAVES THE EEA

Where personal information is transferred outside the EEA, we take steps to ensure that the transfer is made in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Depending on the country and service provider involved, this may include relying on:

  • a decision by the European Commission confirming that the destination provides an adequate level of data protection

  • appropriate contractual safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses

  • another lawful transfer mechanism permitted under applicable data protection law

These safeguards are designed to ensure that personal information continues to receive an appropriate level of protection when it is transferred internationally.

OUR SERVICE PROVIDERS

Some of the third-party platforms and service providers used to operate The Edit Studios may themselves use infrastructure, companies or subprocessors located in different countries.

Where this involves an international transfer of personal information, we will use providers and transfer mechanisms that allow us to handle that information in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

WANT TO KNOW MORE?

If you would like more information about international transfers relating to your personal information or the safeguards used where applicable, you can contact:

hello@theeditstudios.co

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Not forever. We have enough digital clutter.

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including where we need it to provide a product or service, maintain appropriate business records, comply with legal obligations or deal with potential disputes or claims.

How long that is depends on the type of information and why we have it.

PURCHASES & TRANSACTIONS

Information relating to purchases, payments, invoices and transactions may be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purchase and meet applicable accounting, tax, legal and record-keeping requirements.

Some of this information may therefore need to be kept even after our immediate relationship with you has ended.

CLIENT & PROJECT INFORMATION

Information relating to creative or website projects may be kept for as long as necessary to provide the service, manage the client relationship and maintain appropriate records of the work completed.

Certain project information may also be retained where reasonably necessary to deal with future questions, disputes, contractual obligations or legal claims.

We don't need to keep every draft, duplicate and miscellaneous project file forever simply because it once existed.

ENQUIRIES & COMMUNICATIONS

Information from enquiries and general communications may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the enquiry, manage any resulting relationship and maintain appropriate business records.

If an enquiry doesn't lead anywhere and there is no longer a reasonable reason to retain the information, it may be deleted.

EMAIL & MARKETING INFORMATION

If you receive marketing communications from us, we may keep the information necessary to manage those communications while you remain subscribed or while we otherwise have a lawful basis to contact you.

If you unsubscribe or object to direct marketing, we may retain limited information about that preference so that we can remember not to start sending it again.

WEBSITE & TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Retention periods for website, analytics, security and cookie-related information depend on the technologies actually used and the purpose for which the information is collected.

Where applicable, more specific information will be provided in our Cookie Policy or other relevant privacy information.

WHEN WE NO LONGER NEED IT

When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, and we are not required or permitted to retain it for another lawful reason, we will delete it, anonymise it or otherwise handle it in accordance with applicable data protection law.

In some circumstances, information may need to be retained or restricted for a period because of legal, tax, accounting or potential claims requirements.

COOKIES & SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

The digital kind. Sadly, no chocolate involved.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to make the website work, remember certain choices, understand how it is being used and, where applicable, support analytics or other website features.

A cookie is a small piece of information stored on or accessed from your device when you visit a website.

COOKIES WE ACTUALLY NEED

Some cookies and similar technologies may be necessary for the website or a service you have requested to function properly.

These may be used for things such as:

  • keeping the website functioning

  • maintaining security

  • remembering essential choices

  • enabling checkout or other requested functionality

  • providing services you have specifically requested

Where a cookie is strictly necessary for the website or requested service to function, consent may not be required under applicable law.

EVERYTHING ELSE

Other cookies or similar technologies may be used for purposes such as:

  • analytics and understanding website usage

  • remembering non-essential preferences

  • measuring performance

  • advertising or marketing, where applicable

  • understanding how visitors interact with the website

Where consent is required, these technologies will not be used until you have been given appropriate information and made your choice.

YOUR COOKIE CHOICES

Where our website uses cookies or similar technologies that require consent, you will be given the opportunity to accept or reject them.

Where appropriate, you may also be able to choose which categories of cookies you want to allow.

You can change or withdraw your consent where applicable through the cookie controls made available on the website.

Rejecting non-essential cookies should not prevent you from accessing the basic website, although certain optional features may work differently depending on the choices you make.

THIRD-PARTY TECHNOLOGIES

Some cookies or similar technologies may be provided by third-party services used on our website.

Where applicable, information about those providers, the purposes of their technologies, how long they operate and any relevant international data transfers will be explained in our Cookie Policy.

YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Your data. Your rights. As it should be.

Depending on the circumstances and the way we use your personal information, data protection law may give you certain rights over that information.

These may include the right to:

ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION

You can ask whether we are processing personal information about you and, where applicable, request access to that information and certain details about how it is being used.

You may also be entitled to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

CORRECT YOUR INFORMATION

If personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct or complete it.

ASK US TO DELETE IT

In certain circumstances, you can ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.

This is sometimes referred to as the right to erasure or right to be forgotten.

This right is not absolute. There may be situations where we are legally entitled or required to keep certain information, for example because of tax, accounting, contractual or legal-claims requirements.

RESTRICT HOW WE USE IT

In certain circumstances, you can ask us to restrict the way we process your personal information.

This may apply, for example, while the accuracy of information is being checked or while an objection to particular processing is being considered.

RECEIVE OR TRANSFER YOUR INFORMATION

Where the legal requirements are met, you may have the right to receive certain personal information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

You may also have the right to ask for that information to be transferred to another organisation where technically feasible.

This is known as the right to data portability.

OBJECT TO CERTAIN PROCESSING

In some circumstances, you can object to our use of your personal information, particularly where processing is based on legitimate interests.

If you object, we will assess whether we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue the processing or whether it must stop.

OBJECT TO DIRECT MARKETING

You have the right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time.

If you tell us to stop using your information for direct marketing, we will stop doing so.

This one is stronger than the general right to object. GDPR specifically provides that where someone objects to processing for direct marketing, their personal data must no longer be processed for that purpose.

WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT

Where we rely on your consent to process personal information, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before you withdrew it.

HOW TO USE YOUR RIGHTS

If you would like to exercise one of your privacy rights, contact:

hello@theeditstudios.co

Please tell us what you would like us to do and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant data and request.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request where this is reasonably necessary to protect your information.

There is normally no charge for exercising your privacy rights, although applicable law may allow a reasonable fee or refusal in limited circumstances, such as where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

AUTOMATED DECISIONS & PROFILING

The robots are not in charge.

The Edit Studios does not currently use personal information to make decisions about you based solely on automated processing where those decisions produce legal effects or otherwise significantly affect you.

AUTOMATION ISN'T THE SAME THING

We may use automated systems to help operate the business, for example to:

  • deliver digital products

  • send purchase or follow-up emails

  • manage forms and customer journeys

  • organise information

  • support website functionality

  • carry out analytics or marketing activities where permitted

The fact that something happens automatically does not necessarily mean that we are using automated decision-making or profiling in the sense covered by data protection law.

IF THAT CHANGES

If we introduce automated decision-making or profiling that is subject to specific legal requirements, we will provide the information and safeguards required by applicable data protection law.

Where applicable, this may include information about how the decision is made, its significance and potential consequences, and any rights you have in relation to it.

QUESTIONS?

If you have questions about how your personal information is used or whether a decision involving you has been made automatically, contact:

hello@theeditstudios.co

KEEPING YOUR DATA SAFE

Private should actually mean private.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

The measures we use depend on the nature of the information, how it is processed and the services and systems involved.

Where we use third-party providers to process personal information on our behalf, we take reasonable steps to use providers that offer appropriate data protection and security safeguards.

No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If we become aware of a personal data breach, we will assess and respond to it in accordance with applicable data protection law.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

This website is for grown-ups.

The Edit Studios is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of selling our products or services to them.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us in circumstances where they should not have done so, please contact:

hello@theeditstudios.co

We will review the situation and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable data protection law.

WHERE YOUR DATA CAME FROM

Usually, you.

Most personal information we process is provided directly by you, for example when you make a purchase, complete a form, join an email list, contact us or work with us.

In some circumstances, we may receive personal information from another source, such as a payment provider, website or business service involved in your interaction with The Edit Studios.

Where personal information has not been obtained directly from you, we will provide information about its source where required by applicable data protection law.

This is worth keeping because GDPR has additional information requirements when data comes from somewhere other than the person themselves.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Even privacy policies occasionally need an edit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our website, products, services, business practices, technology or legal requirements.

The current version will be published on this website with the Last updated date shown at the top.

Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.

CONTACT & COMPLAINTS

Questions, requests or privacy-related drama.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, how we use your personal information or would like to exercise your privacy rights, please contact:

The Edit Studios
Email: hello@theeditstudios.co

We will handle privacy requests in accordance with applicable data protection law.

If you believe your personal information has not been handled properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection supervisory authority.

As The Edit Studios operates from Spain, this will generally be the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD)

You may also have the right to complain to another competent supervisory authority depending on your circumstances.
